I totally love this documentary: Fermat's Last Theorem.

As some of you know I'm actually double plus ungood at math...and I'm not comparing
myself to the genius that created the proof. But what he said really, really
resonates with me:

"Perhaps I can best describe my experience of doing mathematics in terms of entering a dark mansion. One goes into the first room and it's dark, completely dark. One stumbles around, bumping into the furniture. And gradually you learn where each piece of furniture is. And finally, after six months or so, you find the light switch, you turn it on, and suddenly it's all illuminated. You can see exactly where you were."
-- Andrew Wiles

That feeling of mystery and exploration and wonder and satisfaction...
that's what it feels like when I'm in the zone with my hobby. I hope
that feeling never goes away!

Just wanted to share a cool doco.

Its exactly the same feeling I and the other members of the  AmethystiumMUD development team feel whilst plugging away at our creations. Learning with Dead Souls. Often frustrating but the feeling you get when you finally get it right is addictive.
