Recently started looking at
flyback which replicates functionality of Apple's Time machine and Windows 2003 snapshots.
I had been using
unison as it works across platforms and has some extra features over rysnc for creating revisions of files.
But hopefully flyback may replace my need to use unison.I have not tested within lpc environment yet, but in theory should make it easier to reverse any changes made to files, by restoring previous versions of files.
I can here all the rsync scoffers from here, but I still like this tool
