I thought for sure after "Friend" it would be "Neighbor". But no, it's "BFF".
I may have to stop posting here entirely to avoid that distinction. Whatever shall I do with my remaining 3 "Friend" posts. Maybe I'll post the lyrics to 3 Milli Vanilli songs.

You could write a "text-speak" to English translator in LPC and upload that for your first BFF post...

What does BFF stand for and what are the other levels?  :-X

It was mentioned to me that it was a bit jarring to have everyone
be a "newbie", so I figured I'd knock out a quick post-number title
thingy. But the more I thought about it, the less I liked it. I've seen
sites with titles indicating some sort of mastery or leetness or what-have-you,
when all it is, really, is that you're loser enough to spend less time
on your real life than other people.

So rather than have some intricate "omg you must achieve teh
5 stars of leetness" thing, this forum has a simple 3 title system.
Under 50 posts you're an acquantaince of the site, then
up to 99 you're a friend, and at 100 and above you are a "best
friend forever", which is a very silly thing and one I expect people
not to feel obligated to try to reach.

Ultimately my intent is not to have some sort of ranking or pecking
order. Just a recognition of contributions, while attempting not to
fetishize the stars.

The titles don't mean anything and don't provide anyone any privileges.
