Quick summary of progs
« on: January 01, 2008, 06:39:54 am »
Happy new year everyone! Thanks for all the help up to this point. Thought I might spend new year eve summarising a small handful of progs I got working over the last few years, after harrassing various people on and offline for directions.

I took a series of snap shots to quickly demonstrate what each prog is capable of doing and along with working codes attached. So here they are at this URL:
http://www.geocities.com/appleguava1978/mediquest.html

Things you'll find include the following:
1. Teleport to any location
2. Robot that reads the environment eg. items, livings, exits, messages...
3. Force increase maximum HP
4. Retrieve Yahoo astrology via sockets (inspired by Tricky's baseball socket tutorial)
5. Display ASCII art through 'look at'
6. Show health in bargraph (courtesy of Tigwyk)
7. Add timestamp to end of intermud dialogues (courtesy of Tricky)

All tested to work fine on DS 2.6.1

Oops just to clarify, (6) and (7) are completely Tigwyk and Tricky's work. I just include them here because they are nice little features I find very handy.

And 4 is mine, not Tricky's. ;)

Ah yes, my apologies. What happened to the edit button? A couple of years back I used to be able to edit my own comments..

Apparently some folks were deleting their posts and this upset Crat so he removed edit till he can fix it, but doesnt know when the fix is coming.
