I've been reading through the Lib for a few days now and I've been putting my 'limited' C knowledge to the test.  I've dabbled with Circle and Smaug before, but I've been trying to find a system that lets me create everything from scratch and lets me be flexible. 

However, after tracing /lib/player.c to /lib/race.c and back to /secure/daemon/players.c, I'm getting really confused on something not code, but more of what the code is based on, which brings me to my question. 

Besides reverse Engineering and 'Hand-running' the Stat/Stat Point code, is there a place I can read more on the system that the game is using? 

I'd like to use what is there for now.  If I was trying to make a GURPS, or ShadowRun or D&D MUD, I'd start redoing the code or look for a new lib, but as I'm not too particular at this point on the system, I'd like to see if the system in place will work with what I want to do.

If you're using Dead Souls II, the public domain version, then I can definitely
see the confusion. That version is really for special uses, like forking the lib.
