LPU question
« on: January 05, 2007, 01:09:56 PM »
The LPU install is apparently customized for Linux or something, because trying
to do the scripted install on a Solaris box wreaks all sorts of errors. So I messed
around a bit, got a test LPU lib running, but I've got a problem. It appears that the
first character is not a creator: he can't ls or do creator type stuff.

How do I go about making this first character a wiz and admin?

If the file /adm/etc/new_install exists, then the first person to login is made admin.

new_install doesn't have to hold any info just exist.

If I ever work on the mudlib again, I'll see about making the install script compatable with Solaris.

Thanks,
