cant connect to I3

(1/1)

Io:
When I was running my MUD on my local computer, I could connect to I3 and use the channels

Now after moving to a MUD host, I am unable to connect to I3

I have tried all three servers:
204.209.44.3 8080
97.107.133.86 8787
195.242.99.94 7777

And contacted my host
My host says that all of these ports are open to me, and we are able to telnet to each of those addresses/ports from SSH

This is what I see when I use "mudconfig intermud enable" in the Network Room:

--- Code: ---mudconfig intermud enable

Does anyone know what else I might try to diagnose this problem?

Thank you

You're probably trying to use the same mud name on the new host, but
you installed a new mud rather than copying the old one.

That means your new mud is trying to log in to the router using
your old mud's name, but without your old mud's credentials, and
the router isn't allowing it, since it's on a new IP.

Try changing the mud's name, and I bet it works.

Io:
Hey Crat, thanks for your reply

Will the router ever clear out its cache?
This is the mud name I would like to go with

cratylus:
After a week or so of the old mud not connecting.

You can also try copying the secrets.h file from the old mud to the new mud.

Io:
Yep after a few days I'm back on it again, presumably after the router cleared its cache

Thanks again
