*yatmim announcement

The *yatmim router is now officially living on borrowed time.

For over 13 years the yatmim machine has been part of an
academic project under the aegis of a friend on the faculty
at university, and his influence as longtime faculty
(and department chair!) protected the project from the IT
people who longed to kill it.

But all good things must come to an end, and he has retired.

With the start of the fall semester, the IT folks will likely
do their routine "expunge everything we don't control" pogrom,
and this time I'm afraid yatmim is fully exposed.

The time has come for anyone still using yatmim as their
primary Intermud-3 router to finally get around to changing
to one of the currently supported nodes, *i4 or *wpr.

*i4 204.209.44.3 8080

*wpr 195.242.99.94 8080

You could always do like that other place, and slap some drywall up in front of the server.  It may keep running for a few years, like the Novell server that I can't find a link to anymore. *curse the commercial internet*
