I downloaded ds3.8.6 and extracted to c:\ds in win10 without any change, then run 'runmud.bat', but it doesn't work and show errors below.

"Accepting connections on port 6666
system error: init_user_conn: socket: no such file or directory"

I think that is not a big trouble, maybe some files or directories missed.

Drivers / fluffos 2.23 memory leak
« on: September 05, 2012, 06:53:06 pm »
I compiled fluffos 2.23 and use it to driver a LPmud, so large memory were ocuppied by the driver in linux to affect other programs in some extent, but mudos22.2b does the work well, why? Is the fluffos a selfish guy? what can i do to do with this situation?

What commands are you running? Please show them.
I use "look" command 99 times at a time.

Also, please explain what driver and driver version you are using.
fluffos 2.14, and I found that other versions have the same problem, even back to mudos V22b12

Also, please explain which lib and lib version you are using.
I am using a Chinese lib, do you know kungfu? 6666, if you are free, welcome, wukong is my id in that world.

I'm online now.

zmud, a very good mud client

I also tested this by using my mud client to spam the mud with
these 100 commands, and that also took just a few seconds to complete

Yes 100 commands per user in one seconds, took about 10 seconds to complete, why?

I need a immediately reactions, smoothly, not a breaked reactions, the CPU is powerful enough to deal with these commands.

The USER_MAX_COMMONDS are defined in the DS-lib not in the driver,so is there any commands restricts in driver codecs.

I send 100 commands a time to the driver, but these commands are not excuted at a time

The first 10 commands are executed, and 1 seconds later, another 10 commands executed

I want all commands executed right now after be inputed.

maybe 100 commands a time, but these commands are executed like bunches( 10 commands is a bunch )

I guess maybe the command buffers or socket buffers are not large enough to buffer 100 user commands a time

Drivers / two questions....

1 I found that when a player is netdead the call_out functions from him can not work correctly.
2 When i send 99 user commands to mud in 1 second, the messages can not be echoed continuesly from the driver, why? want to avoid flush sockets?
example: 99 'look' in 1 second sended to driver, then the 99 longs of the room returned in 10 seconds, like a brunch and then another.
