Just felt like sharing installed this on a couple of devices and works well as a PVR, just a small Linux install with Kodi,

I tried OpenELEC and LibreELEC, but the PC install of OpenELEC seemed to be broken and never installed the OS only made partitions, LibreELEC which I assume is just a fork seems to work so far.

Intermud / Re: I3 Testing Server

Intermud2 never had a "good" implementation it was dropped in favor of IMC2 and I3 as they were both more stable and get the job done.

if anything id simply look at extending the I3 protocol to support encrypted TELLS and Channel Messages, but its probably overkill

Has there been any progress on a decentralized Intermud 4 protocol?

I've been thinking about how I would go about it myself (and whether I could make it backwards compatible with I3).

One could simply rewrite Intermud2 and simply add an announce server and the extra packet types we use on I3:
I2 required each mud to know about the other muds on the network to function so basically to connect you needed to know at least one other mud that knew of one other mud and you communicate your mud list and eventually know about all the muds. but to get people to move to I4 you'd need to hold their hand and spoon feed them everything they needed otherwise they would still just connect to it with an i3 client haha

Channel History search was one of the first things I added, I am contemplating adding an advanced search option so you can filter the results easier rather than entering them into the search field.

for example filter by channel, mud, date - range, year and even who and change it to include links to you can jump to the whole conversation around each individual search result

yes, there is search functionality in both the existing version and the new version:
https://www.themud.org/search.php

A search will scan the entire history database.

Does the Mud List support links to MUDs with native HTTP client ports?

DNS List https://www.themud.org/dnslist.php
-----------------------------------------------------
Does not redirect port 80, a lot of muds these days don't require this.
However, in the new version of the site, muds with a valid admin email address will be able to log in to add extra records,  I can look into adding such an ability to it?

Mud List https://www.themud.org/mudlist.php
-----------------------------------------------------
Currently only shows the information supplied by the I3 network

Ill post a URL to the InProgress Version in  a few weeks.

Dead Souls Support / Achievements - Facebook/Twitter
« on: November 05, 2017, 07:27:05 PM »
So I was reading through some old posts today and I came across an idea by quixadhal: http://lpmuds.net/smf/index.php?topic=1302.0

I like the idea of linking in users facebook and twitter accounts for Accomplishments/Achievements to their linked accounts, for example, a user completes a quest, gets to a level milestones, etc

So, in short, I'm thinking of writing this up over the few months and releasing the code andI'm curious if anyone here has any suggestions for it? If all goes well I'd hope Cratylus will roll it into the next DS release
