The go ahead message is often interpreted as "current line is the prompt". - this is consistent with the original telnet specification (rfc 854). NULLs are officially padding characters, i don't think they can break anything. OTOH, i don't use any of the popular win-clients (zmud, mushclient). Testers required Wink.

Please note that if you met a Raudhrskal in a place that's not related to muds, it wasn't me. *sigh*... back when I started there was zero hits on google for that name...
