First I thought this was a general forum for lpmuds, but it seems like there is more or less only Dead Souls talk here (not a bad thing in itself, so dont get me wrong). So... I am curious... Is there anyone here who is running anything else?

At Broken World, we run a ldmud driver that has been modified a great deal. Our lib has almost no resemblance to the lib we started with about 7 years ago. We started out with the export nannymud lib that have been changed and modified over the years to be something entirely else (and in my opinion much better Wink.

I think there are some lurkers around that use other libs and drivers. I use DGD myself. But I rarely post, because I have found this site to be pretty much a Dead Souls community, but with a good tolerance to other preferences.

And I used to play NannyMud.

Hey guys,

It's a totally fair question....please see this forum faq: http://lpmuds.net/sitefaq.html#tricksy

I could use help in making the site more inviting/interesting to other libs...
any ideas there are welcome!

Jimorie: So what lib did you start up with? I remember fiddeling some with melvin (or what it was called) before we settled for what we have now. And... If you dont mind me asking, who were you on nanny? Smiley

Cratylus: Ugh, not sure really. I guess those who are interested with lpc will hang about, like me, and post stuff as time goes by.

Re-organizing the main forum page so that each lib has it's own sub-forum would be probably a good start.

I first started learning with Melville. But what I am working on now was done from scratch.

Mostly played a character called Supiluliuma. I played there somewhat actively in 1996 to 1999, but never reached the highest level.

Actually, I remember the name... But not any specifics. My wiz there is Aishiteru, I think I wizzed around 96-98.

Actually, that is a good idea. Problem though is where to draw the line for when a lib is "big enough" to have its own forum.

I'm just recently trying to get a ld3.2.9/lp 2.4.5 going but have been lurking on various LP-themed forums lately trying to learn a thing or three. Especially regarding startup related material. This place seems to be a be good resource for the needs of quite a few.
